Assist Care, Inc. has provided continuous 24-hour care in the Vermont Building of Tarrytowne Estates since 1989.  Assist Care, Inc. is licensed by the Texas Department of Human Services (TDHS) which licenses Home Health, Assisted Living, and Nursing Homes in the state of Texas.  We have a commendable survey record with TDHS. Assist Care, Inc. is licensed as home health, which has always allowed us to provide heavier care when needed by our clients as opposed to the limitations of Assisted Living.  Our families are pleased to know, should their loved one move to Tarrytowne as an independent apartment dweller with only meals, maid service, transportation & recreation that they can add on our services that could reach the level of a Nursing Home for often $1,000 to $1,500 less than Nursing Home prices.  Our residents don’t need to come to Tarrytowne as independent apartment dwellers either. We can admit a terminally ill individual who needs bedfast care.  We will assess anyone who has an interest in our program what ever their level of care need.   We don’t require any untimely moves to a strange place when comfort and the need to feel safe and familiar with one’s environment and caregivers are tantamount. The average price for a private suite and private bath is $2,100/mo. This price includes the Tarrytowne rent and Assist Care Inc.’s fees together. Tarrytowne provides three meals daily, utilities, cable TV, housekeeping, transportation, and recreation.

Assist Care is a private pay facility and does not accept Medicaid or Medicare.

YOU DON’T PAY FOR WHAT YOU DON’T NEED!! For example, if you only need medication assistance, that is all you will need to pay for in regard to care services.

Assist Care proudly provides an RN managed company with a full time licensed nurse on site at Tarrytowne.  We charge varying fees depending on your needs and desired services:

·     Free admission assessment

·     24 hour call lights answered in the Vermont Building (the Supportive Living Building).

·     Bathing, dressing and cueing for meals, activities and onsite appointments

·     Medication assistance

·     Mobility assistance

·     Incontinent Care

·     Medicare rehabilitation skilled services (Physical Therapy, Speech, and Skilled Nursing are easily arranged by our team for those who qualify).

·     Medicare reimbursed Hospice Care for those who qualify and wish to enhance their care with these specialized skilled services who will team with us as we provide the 24 hour basic care services and familiar faces who comfort your loved one.

Tarrytowne’s Supportive Living Building (VERMONT) is small and private.  You won’t get lost as in so many other licensed care facilities.  Tarrytowne only offers private suites plus large 2 bedroom apartments.  The grounds and amenities at Tarrytowne are spectacular.  It is not a High Rise.  The landscaping is lush with a putting green, swimming pool, plenty of covered parking, spa, library, beauty shop, recreation events in the clubhouse and more.
